2025 IHF Beach Handball Global Tour – Stage 1: match schedule revealed

The eight participating teams and the match schedule for the opening stage of the 2025 IHF Beach Handball Global Tour (BHGT) have been revealed.
In the women’s event, hosts Tunisia will be joined by 2016 World Champions, Spain, 2018 World Champions, Greece, and 2008 World Champions, Croatia, while in the men’s event, Tunisia are joined by reigning world champions, Croatia, 2004 World Champions, Egypt, and Spain.
This will mark the debut for Egypt men's team and Greece women's team in the Beach Handball Global Tour, while hosts Tunisia are returning for the first time since the 2023 edition.
A total of 28 matches will be played in Hammamet, Tunisia, on 13 and 14 June, as the fourth edition of the Tour gets underway in the sandy beaches of Hammamet.
The men’s and women’s tournaments will comprise of 14 games each, featuring four national teams, with two continents represented – Europe and Africa.
An initial four-team, preliminary group in each competition will feature round-robin games across the two days, with the first matches played on 13 June, and the last round of the preliminary round ending on 14 June, with the finals scheduled for the afternoon of 14 June.
All matches will be streamed live on the IHF Competitions YouTube channel. The second stage of the 2025 IHF Beach Handball Global Tour will take place on 29 and 30 July, in Laredo, Spain, while the Finals are due to be played between 7 and 9 November, in João Pessoa, Brazil.

About the IHF Beach Handball Global Tour
The IHF Beach Handball Global Tour was launched at the 2022 IHF Men’s and Women’s Beach Handball World Championships in Greece and debuted in Gdansk, Poland with Croatia winning the men’s tournament and Spain taking the top spot in the women’s tournament. Four teams – Croatia, Germany, Poland and Spain – participated in both the men’s and women’s competitions.
The 2023 IHF Beach Handball Global Tour visited Brazil, Tunisia and Poland before the Finals Stage was held in Doha, Qatar in November, with Qatar’s men and Brazil’s women taking the overall titles.
The 2024 IHF Beach Handball Global Tour took place in Brazil and Spain, before the Finals Stage took place in Doha, Qatar, as both Brazil sides (men and women) won the overall titles.
