In view of recent developments in PR of China regarding the coronavirus outbreak, the International Handball Federation, together with the Chinese Handball Association, have decided the 2020 Women’s Youth World Championship will no longer take place in China.

The IHF would like to thank the CHA for their support, understanding and willingness to return the World Championship hosting rights as this is in the best interest of the players and ensures reliable planning for all parties involved.

The IHF Council will decide a new host for the 2020 Women’s Youth World Championship at its meeting in Cairo on 27 February.
