VENUES

The event was staged in nine venues, with Katowice, Krakow, Plock and Gdansk hosting the event in Poland and Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmo, Jonkoping and Kristianstad welcoming the World Championship in Sweden.

The draw for the 28th IHF Women's World Championship was held in Katowice, Poland on 2 July 2022 at 17:00 CEST.

MATCH SCHEDULE

The preliminary round of the event was staged from 11 to 17 January, followed by the main round, which was played from 18 to 23 January. 

The President's Cup and placement matches were scheduled from 18 to 25 January. 

The knockout phase started on 25 January with the quarter-finals. The semi-finals were played on 27 January and the bronze-medal match as well as the final were staged on 29 January.
