In 2023, 32 teams will meet in Poland and Sweden from 11 to 29 January to vie for the title of world champions at the 28th IHF Men's World Championship.

The event will be staged in nine venues, with Katowice, Krakow, Plock and Gdansk hosting the event in Poland and Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmo, Jonkoping and Kristianstad welcoming the World Championship in Sweden.

The draw for the 28th IHF Women's World Championship will be held in Katowice, Poland on 2 July 2022 at 17:00 CEST.

Pot 2: Qatar, Croatia, Belgium, Brazil, Portugal, Poland, Montenegro, North Macedonia

The ticket sale for all matches has already started. Everyone interested in purchasing tickets can find more information on the official event website


The preliminary round of the event will be staged from 11 to 17 January, followed by the main round, which will be played from 18 to 23 January. 

The President's Cup and placement matches are scheduled from 18 to 25 January. 

The knockout phase will start on 25 January with the quarter-finals. The semi-finals will be played on 27 January and bronze-medal match as well as the final will be staged on 29 January.
