20th Asian Men's Handball Championship

The 20th edition of the Asian Men's Handball Championship was staged in Dammam, Saudi Arabia from 18 to 31 January 2022.
16 teams took the court in Dammam Hall and Qatif Hall, with the preliminary round being played in four groups of four. The teams ranked first and second progressed to the main round. The top two teams in each of the two main round groups moved into the semi-finals, followed by medal matches.

The event served as qualification event for the 2023 IHF Men's World Championship in Poland and Sweden, with Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Islamic Republic of Iran and Republic of Korea qualifying.
