In 2022, the International Handball Federation launched the long-awaited Beach Handball Global Tour, the start of which was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The first stage of the 2023 edition of the event took place in Brazil and the second stage was staged in Tunisia. The third stage of this year's edition took place in Poland on the weekend of 22–23 July.
