The seventh edition of the Confederación Argentina de Handball (CAH) ‘Copa Argentina’ Beach Handball tournament took place between 8 and 11 January. The event took place at the Balneario Horizonte in Mar del Plata, with 23 men’s and women’s youth and senior teams involved and was part of the wider ‘Olympic Beach Experience’ programme of the Argentine Olympic Committee, as part of their ‘Road to the South American Games in Santa Fe’ event.

“Los Buitres invited me to participate and the guys were super cool,” said Felipe González Rivero, who also played for Argentina at the 2025 IHF Men’s Youth Beach Handball World Championship, to local media.
“In the group stage, we won all our matches and then we played against Only Beach from the south of the country in the semi-final and beat them, and then we played the final against Sol de Mayo in a shoot-out, becoming champions of Argentina.”
Four teams competed in the women's senior category with Municipalidad de la Costa (Buenos Aires), Deportivo Mitre (Río Negro), Mariano Acosta Brutus (Buenos Aires) and Municipalidad de Quilmes (Buenos Aires) doing battle.
Municipalidad de la Costa took the women’s title after defeating Deportivo Mitre 2-1 in an exact repeat of the 2025 final, while Mariano Acosta Brutus secured third place with a 2-0 victory over Municipalidad de Quilmes, who had won bronze in 2025.
The men’s youth category featured seven teams: Sol de Mayo (Río Negro), IFES (Neuquén), Only Beach (Río Negro), Municipality of Quilmes (Buenos Aires), Club Eucalipto Blanco (Neuquén), Club Río Negro Azul (Río Negro), San Francisco Handball (Formosa), and the Rosario Handball Association, with three in the women's youth category; Municipality of Quilmes (Buenos Aires), IFES Río Grande (Neuquén), and the Rosario Handball Association.

Teams taking part in the Copa Argentina had qualified due to their performances on the Argentina Beach Handball Circuit (Circuito Argentino de Beach Handball).
The first edition of the Copa Argentina was held back in 2020 and since then, it has gone on to become a mainstay in not only the Argentina or South America Beach Handball calendar, but the global one.
