Match schedule announced: quarter-finals, 9-16, 17-24 placement matches

Following the completion of the eighth-finals and the first day of matches in the 17-24 Placement Round at the 2019 IHF Men’s Youth World Championship, the match schedule for the quarter-finals, 9-16 and 17-24 placement games is now known.

All games will be played at the Boris Trajkovski and Jane Sandanski arenas and will be streamed live on IHF.info. Click HERE for more details

Match evaluation and determination of places

Quarter-Finals

In case of a draw at the end of the regular playing time, after a break of five (5) minutes, a first overtime period of 2 x 5 minutes shall be played, changing sides halfway through with a one (1)-minute break in-between. Provisions to the contrary set for individual tournaments shall be given priority.
  
If the match should still not be decided after this overtime period, after a break of 5 minutes, a second overtime period of 2 x 5 minutes shall be played, changing ends halfway through with a one-minute break in-between.

Should the match still not be decided after the second overtime period, it is decided with 7m penalty throws in accordance with Rule 2:2 of the Rules of the Game.

The winners of the quarter-finals shall advance to the semi-finals; the losers compete in the placement matches (5-8 rank).

Placement round / Placement matches

In case of a draw at the end of the regular playing time, direct 7m penalty throws shall be executed to decide the match in accordance with Rule 2:2 of the Rules of the Game.
