Accreditation process for 2027 IHF Men's World Championship gets underway
04 Oct. 2026
The accreditation process for media representatives covering the 30th IHF Men’s World Championship in Germany is now open, with applications accepted until 30 November 2026.
The competition will take place from 13 to 31 January 2027, with 32 teams competing across six venues in Germany - Munich, Kiel, Stuttgart, Magdebur, Hanover and Cologne - under the motto ‘Where Handball is alive’.
Professional journalists, photographers, online media representatives and non-rights-holding radio and television media can apply through the dedicated accreditation portal.
The portal is exclusively intended for the media categories listed above. TV and radio rights holders should contact SPORTFIVE, the IHF’s media and marketing partner, directly, as rights-holder accreditation enquiries will be handled by SPORTFIVE.
All applications must be fully completed and submitted by 30 November 2026. Applications received after the deadline will not be accepted.
Applicants will be informed by email whether their accreditation application has been accepted or rejected. Applications submitted by 31 October will be processed by 15 November, while applications received between 1 and 30 November will be processed by 15 December.
Once an application has been received, applicants will automatically receive a login code for the accreditation system. This will allow them to follow the status of their application throughout the process.
The 2027 IHF Men’s World Championship will open in Munich on 13 January, with the preliminary round also taking place in Stuttgart, Kiel and Magdeburg. The main round will be played in Hanover and Cologne, with the final weekend culminating at the LANXESS Arena in Cologne on 31 January.
