The second day of the 1st IHF Four-a-Side Wheelchair Handball World Championship will bring another full six-game card, with plenty of answers ready to be delivered. The two unbeaten teams from the first day of the competition, Egypt and Brazil, will be facing off in the day's last match.

Today, the throw-off of the first IHF Four-a-Side Wheelchair Handball World Championship was a historic moment, as all six teams featured in the Dr Hassan Moustafa Sports Hall in 6th of October, but Egypt and Brazil were the big winners of the day.

Both sides secured two wins in their first two matches and are now dreaming of facing off in the gold-medal game scheduled for Sunday. However, one will lose their unbeaten status when they face off on Friday, with the two best attacks in the competition so far being pitted together.

Egypt have the top attack in the tournament they are hosting, scoring 30 points, while Brazil are just behind them with 29 points scored and a dominating performance on the first day.

Notably, the win against the Netherlands, 2:0 (9:3, 11:4), was the biggest surprise of the day, not necessarily because of the result, but rather the manner it was clinched, with a superb performance that left many wondering if they did not see the future world champions.

It will also be a battle between Egypt's Magdy Talaat Abdo Abbas and Brazil's Jordean Rodrigues, the best scorers in the competition so far. Abbas scored 18 points, while Rodrigues scored 11 points, courtesy of two spin shots converted in the game against the Netherlands.

However, Brazil also boast the top goalkeeper in the competition, Marcelo Amaral, who has saved 13 of the 18 shots he faced for an otherworldly 72.2% saving efficiency.

The Netherlands have the easiest Friday schedule, at least on paper, as they face Slovenia and India. Both have lost all their matches so far and need a positive result to get their hopes up and improve their standings, as they are bottom two after two games.

The European side faces two must-win games if they are still to contend for one of the first two places, which will send two teams to the gold-medal match, scheduled for Sunday. They are two points behind Egypt and Brazil, the two leading teams.

On the other hand, Chile, the other team with two points, face Slovenia and Egypt and must win both matches to get back on track for a place in the final. Chile have conceded 15 points and scored 15 points, boasting a neutral goal difference, and they will be facing Egypt, who have the top defence, conceding only 10 points in their first four sets.
