The decisive match for the places 19 and 20 between Angola and Argentina was a very one-sided one. After 60 minutes Angola won this game clearly with 22:11 and is now 19th in the final ranking of this Junior World Championship. Angola played a very good first half and was in the lead with 10:4 after the first 30 minutes. During the second period the Pan-Americans, who showed several good performances in the beginning of this tournament, didn’t have the power to stop the attacks of the African team. The long tournament took its toll. Angola, nevertheless, was not satisfied with their over-all-result of this tournament. Best scorer of this match was Juliana Machado (Angola) with six goals.

Placement round (9 to 16)

Austria – Kongo 36:15 (21:4)

Clear victory for Austria

In the first match of the placement round for the places 9 to 16 Austria achieved a convincing victory against the team of Congo with 36:15. From the very beginning the Europeans dominated the match and needed only 17 minutes to decide the game. After that short period of play Austria was in lead with 14:2. In the sense of a certain success they slowed down a bit but nevertheless extended their lead up to 21:4 after the first 30 minutes. After the break the match remained one-sided so that at the end Austria came to an easy and highly-deserved victory. Now Austria will play their so-called semifinal for the places 9 to 12 against the winner of the match between Spain and Croatia. Congo will meet the looser in the placement round for the places 13 to 16. Best sorer of this match was Jasmine Ramsebner (Asutria) with seven goals.
