The Disciplinary Commission of the 24th Men's Handball World Championship received the report of the IHF Technical Delegate and IHF Official following the POL-QAT match on Friday 30th January.

After the conclusion of the POL-QAT match official 'C' of the POL national team, Rafal Markowski, approached the officials table and displayed aggressive unsportsmanlike conduct towards the referees and officials.

Due to the serious offence made by the concerned official, the Disciplinary Commission of the 24th Men's Handball World Championship has imposed a suspension of Rafal Markowski for duration of six months according to the Article 1.1.1. of the Regulations Concerning Penalties and Fines and a fine has also been imposed due to be paid by the Handball Federation of Poland.

This is pursuant to the Article 21, paragraphs 4 of the IHF Statutes and to the Article 2, paragraph 2.1.1. of the Legal Provisions.
