The match schedule for the second day of the 19th IHF Men’s Club World Championship has been revised following a request from the Organising Committee related to television broadcasting slots.

The Official Opening will now take place at 17:45 local time, with Al Ahly facing the winner of Preliminary Qualification Match 2 at 18:30, before Burgan SC take on Füchse Berlin at 20:45.

The revised schedule on Friday, 25 September is:

17:45 – Official Opening of the 19th IHF Men’s Club World Championship
18:30 – Al Ahly (EGY) vs winner of Preliminary Qualification Match 2
20:45 – Burgan SC (KUW) vs Füchse Berlin (GER)

The remaining matches of the competition are unchanged.

The tournament opens on 24 September with the two Preliminary Qualification matches, which will determine the final two places in the Group Phase.

24 September

17:30 – Preliminary Qualification Match 2: Sydney Uni (AUS) vs Veszprém HC (HUN)
20:00 – Preliminary Qualification Match 1: Los Angeles Handball Club (USA) vs Zamalek SC (EGY)

The winners of the two matches advance to the Group Phase. The two losing sides will continue in the competition in a two-legged tie to determine ninth and 10th place.

The Group Phase will then be played across three matchdays, on 25, 27 and 29 September, with every team facing the other three teams in its group once.

Group B: Füchse Berlin (GER), Al Ahly (EGY), Burgan SC (KUW), winner of Preliminary Qualification Match 2

The final day on 1 October will determine every position from first to eighth, with the group rankings feeding into four crossover matches.

20:00 – Final: 1A vs 1B

The 19th IHF Men’s Club World Championship will take place in the New Administrative Capital in Egypt from 24 September to 1 October, marking the third consecutive edition hosted at the venue.
