Offical anthem "Hands Up For More” sets the tone for the 2025 IHF Women's World Championship

The 27th IHF Women’s World Championship will bring the world’s best teams and fans together across five elite venues in Germany and the Netherlands. From 26 November to 14 December, the competition will showcase top-tier handball in cities such as Rotterdam, ’s-Hertogenbosch, Dortmund, Stuttgart, and Trier—each providing a vibrant stage for fierce competition, fair play, and the celebration of women’s sport.

Uniting this edition under the title “Hands Up For More”, the official anthem will set the tone for a thrilling championship. The anthem is performed by Hamburg-based artists Lucille and Bria X, capturing the energy and spirit of the event.

Featuring powerful vocals and a message of empowerment, the song pays tribute to female athletes, urging respect, equality, and recognition in the world of handball and beyond.

“Hands up for more means empowerment. To stand up for women, to celebrate women’s sport, to give them the attention they deserve,” said one of the anthem’s singers, Lucille.

Lucille and Bria X’s collaboration reflects their deep connection to both music and the values of women’s sport, making the track an inspiring rallying cry from the first whistle to the final trophy celebration.

The anthem of the 2025 IHF Women’s World Championship will be played live by the two artists on 21 September in Krefeld, Germany, when the two co-hosts of the 2025 IHF Women’s World Championship, Germany and the Netherlands, will play a friendly match.

"I think it is something very special to have an anthem for this competition and I hope the feeling will come with all the fans. It is very important to have a good song in the dressing room and in the arena, it makes a good atmosphere and this is why the music is important. It is something unique, it is not something we have every day,” said Germany’s left back, Xenia Smits.

The inclusion of these dynamic anthems underscores the 2025 IHF Women’s World Championship’s unique identity. The anthem is set to turbocharge the atmosphere, galvanise support for teams, and amplify the emotions on and off the court, ensuring music plays a central role in the celebration of women’s handball at its highest level over the 18 competition days in Germany and the Netherlands.
