ITA offer webinar on doping risk assessment
10 Jun. 2022

The next monthly seminar held by the International Testing Agency (ITA) will take place on Thursday 23 June between 14:00 and 15:00 CEST. It will be dedicated to Doping Risk Assessment.
ITA describe a risk assessment as a “systematic process that involves identifying, analysing and controlling hazards and risks”. In their next webinar, they are going to discuss what a risk assessment is in the context of anti-doping. A team of ITA experts will address the questions of how risk assessment informs anti-doping organisations' testing and education activities and why it is such an important tool for clean sport.
The moderator of the webinar will be former Olympian Olya Abasolo from the ITA Education department, while the panellists will be Ronan Coquet, PhD (ITA Science and Medical team) and Richard Mann (ITA testing team).
“Ronan will first explain what a Risk Assessment is and how it is developed. Richard will then discuss how a Risk Assessment is integrated in the test distribution strategy. Finally, Olya will provide an overview of the education and prevention opportunities that a doing risk assessment presents,” ITA describe the course content.
The webinar will be conducted in English, with simultaneous translation into Arabic, Spanish, French and Russian available.
