It is with great sadness that the IHF has learnt of the passing of the former IHF treasurer and the IHF Honorary Member, Rudi Glock, at the age of 85.

Dedicating his life to handball, he was also a referee at a national level in Germany between 1959 and 1970. Moving further in his life, he became the treasurer of the German Handball Federation (DHB), between 1983 and 1989, as well as the treasurer of the International Handball Federation, between 1989 and 2000.
Upon his retirement in 2000, he was also named an IHF Honorary Member, thanks to his services to handball.
Glock was also the mayor of Weinheim, in Germany, as well as the treasurer of the city, longwithstanding functions, yet he did not abandon handball, nor volunteering, a passion for him.
On behalf of the entire IHF handball family, the IHF President, Dr Hassan Moustafa, would like to express his deepest condolences to the family and friends of Rudi Glock and all of those who worked alongside him.
