After hosting the Beach Handball EURO and the YAC Beach Handball EURO in July, Varna, Bulgaria played once again host to an EHF event as the Men's 19 EHF Championship 2021 was staged there from 16 to 22 August. 

Seven teams took part in the competition. Group A featured three teams, while four teams started in group B. The top two teams in each group after the preliminary round progressed to the semi-finals.
