Tunisia 2025: All-star Teams announced

Following the two finals of the 2025 IHF Men's and Women’s Youth Beach Handball World Championships in Hammamet, won by Spain, against Germany, with the same scoreline, 2:0, the Tunisia 2025 All-star Teams have been announced.

The players were selected by a process which started with voting by coaches at Tunisia 2025, with their votes then considered by Tamas Neukum, Member of the IHF Beach Handball Working Group and Germany men’s senior coach Marten Franke who are in Tunisia in their roles as IHF Analysts.

Eight national teams from three continents are represented in total, with Germany taking five awards, Spain four, Hungary two and one each for France, Brazil, Netherlands, Tunisia and Uruguay.

Fair Play

The Philosophy of Beach Handball is based on the principles of “Fair Play”. Every decision has to be taken in accordance with these principles and this is set in the foreword of the IHF Rules of the Game: Beach Handball.

Fair Play means:

  • Respect the health, integrity and body of the players
  • Respect the spirit and philosophy of the game
  • Respect the flow of the game, but never tolerate an advantage taken by violating the rules
  • Promote the spirit of true sportsmanship and pursue the cultural and athletic mission of the event

In terms of suspensions and red cards throughout Tunisia 2025, the following teams finished with the fewest.

In the men’s competition, Cook Islands and Croatia received just three suspensions each in their seven games, averaging 0.4 per game.

In the women’s competition, Bulgaria received just four suspensions in their seven games, or 0.5 per game.
