Traditional colours represented on the official ball for Denmark/Norway/Sweden 2023

Molten, the official ball supplier of the International Handball Federation, presented the official ball of the 26th IHF Women’s World Championship, which is due to take place in six venues over three countries between 29 November and 17 December, the first edition of the competition to be held in three different countries.

The new X5000 Denmark/Norway/Sweden 2023 Edition handball was developed based on the X5000 Handball, the official ball for international competitions held by the International Handball Federation (IHF). The special edition ball features a custom design using the national colours of the three organising countries, featuring the red of Denmark and Norway, the blue of Sweden and Norway and both white (Denmark) and yellow (Sweden), with the latter being imprinted on the logo of the IHF and Molten.

The X5000 is the official ball of all international IHF competitions and “features a premium cover material which provides exceptional grip, improved ball control, and accuracy, making it an ideal choice for the highest level of competition,” as stated by Molten. The ball’s soft foam panel construction provides a softer feel and allows for a better grip, enhancing the game's quality.

The Japanese company, which is a long-time partner of the IHF, has provided the official ball of the competition for the past five consecutive editions while also being the official supplier for all competitions organised under the aegis of the International Handball Federation.
