The 2023 IHF Men’s World Championship has now reached the knock-out phase of the competition, with the quarter-final pairings set.

As per the original schedule, two quarter-finals will now take place in Sweden, in the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm, while the two other are due to take place in the Ergo Arena in Gdansk on Wednesday, 25 January.

With Sweden progressing to the quarter-final, the initial schedule has been confirmed as the co-hosts will take the court in one of the quarter-finals in the Tele2 Arena, facing Egypt in quarter-final 3.

The other quarter-final set to take place in Sweden’s capital will also feature teams that have played in the Scandinavian country up until this point, namely Hungary and Denmark, the winner of Group IV of the main round.

With Poland not progressing to the quarter-finals, the teams that have qualified for the final quarter-finals from Group I and Group III of the main round played in Poland will travel to Gdansk, where France will meet Germany, while Spain face Norway.

Throw-off times for the quarter-finals are 18:00 and 20:30 CET.
