The month of July will be action-packed, with plenty of events at younger age categories taking place around the globe, while the draw for the 2023 IHF Women's World Championship is also scheduled for the first week of the month.

First, the first two days of the month will decide the new champion at the 2023 IHF Men's Junior World Championship, with the final weekend scheduled in the Max-Schmeling-Halle in Berlin.

Germany will face Serbia and Iceland face off with Hungary in the two semi-finals, which are scheduled on Saturday 1 July, with the big final and the bronze medal game seeing off a successful edition of the competition in Germany and Greece on Sunday 2 July.

The draw for the 2023 IHF Women's World Championship, set to be played in Denmark, Norway and Sweden between 29 November and 17 December, will also take place on Thursday 6 July in Gothenburg, Sweden, with the 32 participating teams finding out their fate and their path towards the big trophy. On 11 July at 14.00 CEST the draw for the ANOC beach games will take place in Basel. 

The third edition of the World Deaf Handball Championships will also occur in July in Copenhagen, Denmark, scheduled between 3 and 16 July. Seven teams will feature in the event, with hosts Denmark being joined by Cameroon, Croatia, Germany, Kenya, Serbia and Türkiye.

Moving on to the younger age categories, 16 teams will fight for the title at the W19 EHF EURO 2023 in Romania, with the games scheduled in Pitești and Mioveni. This will be a qualifying event for the 2024 IHF Women's Junior World Championship and the podium finishers at the 2022 IHF Women's Youth World Championship, Denmark and Hungary, will be some of the teams to watch in Romania.

Two other events – the W19 EHF Championships – will also take place, with the first event scheduled in Kosovo between 8 and 16 July, while the other is set to be played in Lithuania between 10 and 16 July.

The 10th Asian Women's Youth (U17) Handball Championship will also take place in Noida, India, between 15 and 24 July, with the top five sides progressing to the 2024 IHF Women's Youth Championship.

The Women's IHF Trophy Zone 1A (East and South East Asia) will also take place in Hong Kong between 10 and 14 July, with emerging nations like Hong Kong, Macao China, Mongolia and Vietnam vying for a place in the Continental Phase of the Women's IHF Trophy Asia.

At club level, the 2023 Men's and Women's Oceania Club Championships will be held in Canberra, Australia, from 25 to 30 July 2023, with the winners of the men's competition earning a ticket to the 2023 IHF Men's Super Globe.

Last but not least, in beach handball, the YAC 17 Beach Handball EURO 2023 will be handing out trophies on the first weekend of July in Izmir, Türkiye, as the 2023 South American Beach Games are due to take place in Colombia between 14 and 21 July.
