Home team Cameroon have mixed results at IHF Trophy Zone 4 Africa

The Men's IHF Trophy Zone 4 Africa continued with four more matches in both the youth and junior competitions played on Wednesday 22 May in Yaounde, Cameroon.Â
At the youth (U18) age category, Chad snatched their second straight win, 42:41 against Cameroon, while Congo defeated Central African Republic 47:31. Chad lead the race with four points, followed by Cameroon and Congo, who are level on two points, and Central African Republic, who have no points.
On Thursday, Congo meet Chad at 12:00 (local time), and Cameroon face Central African Republic at 18:00.
In the junior competition, Cameroon took their first win in a tight fight, 29:28 against Democratic Republic of Congo, and Chad defeated Central African Republic 31:25. Chad have four points after two games, Congo and Cameroon are tied on two points, while Democratic Republic of Congo and Central African Republic have no points.
The round-robin tournament will continue on Thursday, when Central African Republic take on Congo at 14:00, and Democratic Republic of Congo play Chad at 16:00. Home team Cameroon have a rest day.
Wednesday was also the opening day of the Men's IHF Trophy Zone 7 in Antananarivo, Madagascar. At the youth age category, Seychelles were given a 10:0 win against Comoros. On day two of the double round-robin tournament, Seychelles meet Madagascar at 9:00, and then Madagascar face Comoros at 17:00.
In the junior event, Seychelles were also given a 10:0 victory versus Comoros, while Reunion earned a hard-fought win over Madagascar, 31:29. On Thursday, Reunion play Comoros at 13:00, and Seychelles face Madagascar two hours later.Â
