Hummel's legacy of giving shines once again at the 2023 IHF Men's Super Globe
06 Nov. 2023

The IHF and Official Partner hummel will continue their inspiring ‘Player of the Match’ award initiative at the 2023 IHF Men’s Super Globe, which throws off this week.
This will be the second time the Player of the Match award will be sponsored by hummel at the IHF Men’s Super Globe, as the Danish sports brand has once again decided to draw attention to the inclusivity of sports and the fact that everyone should have the right to play sport.
On these grounds, hummel will be replacing the traditional Player of the Match award by donating handball equipment to support the FANT organisation (For A New Tomorrow) and their mission to promote a better world through sports. It is the sixth competition organised under the aegis of the International Handball Federation to feature the reimagined award, after three previous editions of the IHF Senior World Championships: the women’s events at Japan 2019 and Spain 2021 and the men’s competition at Egypt 2021 and Poland/Sweden 2023, as well as the previous edition of the IHF Men’s Super Globe.
“We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy of handball. This is why we are immensely proud to support the FANT project once again. It’s a tremendous initiative that not only fosters the growth of handball but also champions diversity and inclusivity - and most importantly, it helps build a community where girls can stand up for themselves and be stronger together,” says hummel CEO, Allan Vad Nielsen.
The new jersey will be presented to the Player of the Match after each game at the tournament, just as the players are given the opportunity to pass on the joy of handball by donating handball equipment to the FANT project via hummel.
