Following the conclusion of the women’s handball competition at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the All-Star team has been announced.
Five countries are represented in the All-Star team, with three Olympic champions making their way into the ranks.
The MVP of the women’s handball competition at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games is Norway’s goalkeeper, Katrine Lunde. The 44-year-old shot stopper has previously been the All-Star goalkeeper at Beijing 2008 and Tokyo 2020 and it is the first time in her career when she was the MVP at a major international competition.Â
Lunde had the best saving efficiency from any goalkeeper in the competition, 42%, with 79 saves in eight matches.
Ending her career on a high, with her maiden Olympics title, centre back Stine Bredal Oftedal has also been named into the All-Star team on her position. Previously, she has never been selected into the All-Star team at the Olympic Games.
The third Norway player to make it into the All-Star team at Paris 2024 is Kari Brattset Dale, the line player who was the team’s top scorer in the competition, with 29 goals.
