2024 IHF Men's Club World Championship: MVP Remili headlines the All-Star Team

Following the conclusion of the 2024 IHF Men’s Club World Championship, with the 34:33 extra-time win for Veszprém HC against SC Magdeburg, the All-Star team of the competition has been announced.

Four players from Veszprém HC, the winners of the competition, have been included in the All-Star team, including the MVP, right back Nedim Remili, and the goalkeeper, Rodrigo Corrales.

Remili has been fantastic for Veszprém in this competition, scoring 20 goals and delivering 17 assists, being the fulcrum of Xavi Pascual’s side in their succesful campaign, helping the Hungarian side secure their maiden title at the IHF Men’s Club World Championship.

Corrales and Remili were joined by centre back Luka Cindric and left wing Hugo Descat, with the latter being the second best scorer of the competition, with 27 goals.

Two players from finalists SC Magdeburg, right back Omar Ingi Magnusson and left back Gisli Kristjansson have been selected in the All-Star team, with the last positions being completed by Barcelona’s right wing, Aleix Gomez, and Al-Ahly’s line player, Ahmed Adel.

The top goal scorer of the competition was Khaleej Club’s centre back, Mujtaba Al Salem, who scored 34 goals
