IHF confirms schedule update for knockout phase at China 2026

The IHF has announced an update to the Final Round schedule of the 2026 IHF Women's Junior World Championship, with both semi-finals now set to take place at the Jinzhong City Gymnasium on 3 July.
The decision marks a change from the previously announced schedule, which had the two semi-finals split across different venues, one scheduled at the Jinzhong City Gymnasium and the other one at the Jinzhonhg College Gymnasium. Semi-Final 1 will now be played at 16:00 CST (CEST +6), followed by Semi-Final 2 at 18:30 CST, both at the Jinzhong City Gymnasium.
The IHF took the decision in order to enable the use of a Video Referee system at the venue, which had already been announced at the technical meeting.Â
The modified knockout phase schedule for 2 and 3 July is as follows:
2 July — Jinzhong City Gymnasium
11:30 CST — Republic of Korea vs Hungary
13:45 CST — Austria vs People's Republic of China
16:00 CST — France vs Montenegro
18:30 CST — Germany vs Norway
2 July — Jinzhong College Gymnasium
11:30 CST — Sweden vs Czechia
13:45 CST — Romania vs Poland
16:00 CST — Denmark vs Serbia
18:30 CST — Japan vs Spain
3 July — Jinzhong City Gymnasium
