Following the completion of the semi-finals and the first day of the 5-8 Placement Round the match schedule for the final day of the 2019 IHF Men’s Junior World Championship has been confirmed.

All games will be played at the As Travesas Sport Hall in Vigo. The nominations for the IHF referees and match officials can be found HERE.

7/8 Placement Match

09:00     Norway vs Tunisia
Norway will wear red shirts, Tunisia will wear white shirts

5/6 Placement Match

11:30     Denmark vs Slovenia
Denmark will wear red shirts, Slovenia will wear white shirts

Bronze Medal Match (3/4 Placement Match)

14:00    Egypt vs Portugal
Egypt will wear white shirts, Portugal will wear red shirts

Gold Medal Match/Final (1/2 Placement Match)

16:30    France vs Croatia
France will wear blue shirts, Croatia will wear white shirts

Match evaluation and determination of places

Bronze (3/4 Placement Match), Gold (1/2 Placement Match/Final)

Both matches shall be played in accordance with the knock-out system.

In case of a draw at the end of the regular playing time, after a break of five (5) minutes, a first overtime period of 2x five minutes shall be played, changing sides halfway through with a one (1)-minute break in-between. Provisions to the contrary set for individual tournaments shall be given priority.

If the match should still not be decided after this overtime period, after a break of five minutes, a second overtime period of 2x five minutes shall be played, changing ends halfway through with a one-minute break in-between.

Should the match still not be decided after the second overtime period, it is decided with 7m penalty throws in accordance with Rule 2:2 of the Rules of the Game.

5/6, 7/8 Placement Matches

In case of a draw at the end of the regular playing time, direct 7m penalty throws shall be executed to decide the match in accordance with Rule 2:2 of the Rules of the Game.
