The 17th Asian Men's Junior Championship was scheduled to be staged in Iran from 10 to 27 July 2020. Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the Asian Handball Federation has decided to postpone the event to 20 to 29 March 2021. 

The event serves as qualification event for the 2021 IHF Men's Junior (U21) World Championship in Hungary.
