IHF President Dr Hassan Moustafa visited Belgrade, Serbia at the invitation of the Serbian Handball Federation (RSS) following a visit by RSS President Bozidar Djurkovic, and RSS International Secretary Mazlam Dzemailoski to the IHF Head Office in Basle, Switzerland back in March. The two-day trip commenced with a visit to a children’s festival at the Institute of Sport in Kosutnjak, where the IHF President was accompanied by Vanja Udovičić, Minister of Youth and Sports in the Serbian Government, and later, over a working dinner, they discussed the future of handball in Serbia. The next day, President Moustafa then attended a reception with the President of the Republic of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolić, at the Novi Dvor (New Palace) before meeting the President of the Olympic Committee of Serbia (OKS), Bozidar Maljkovic. The trip ended with a visit to the RSS offices in Novi Beograd where Dr Moustafa had meetings with staff, including RSS President Bozidar Djurkovic, before finishing with a media conference, headed by Djurkovic with Vice President of RSS, Mirka Butulija, President of the RSS Assembly Vladislav Krsmanovic and former player and double-IHF Men’s World Championship bronze medallist, as well as RSS Vice President, Dragan Skrbic in attendance.
