From 4-14 March the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Muscat, Oman, hosted the latest Olympic Solidarity Course (OLSOL) organised by the IHF, in co-operation with the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

The opening ceremony was launched by Omani Olympic Committee (OOC) representative Dr. Farid Khamis, board member of the OOC and President of the Omani Basketball Federation.

The course, which is Level 1 on the IHF coaching course pathway, was run by the IHF Commission of Coaching and Methods (CCM) Lecturer, Egyptian Effat Rashad, and featured a variety of theoretical and practical lectures led by Rashad, alongside local expert Zuhair Samha.

23 of the 26 participants were successful in Oman, receiving their certificates in a closing ceremony yesterday from Dr Al Shahri, the President of local handball club Sahm, Adel Alfarsy as well as further representatives from the OHF and OOC.
