First North American and the Caribbean Super Globe participant

The North American and the Caribbean (NAC) region will also have their qualification event for the 2019 IHF Super Globe in May. The event, organised in partnership between the IHF, USA Team Handball, the US Olympic Committee Training Centre and New York City Handball, will be held from May 9 to 12 at the USOC Training Centre in Lake Placid, New York.

It is the first time ever that a team from the NAC region will participate in the Super Globe. Three club teams will battle for one ticket to the 2019 Super Globe, the first to be held in Saudi Arabia, which will take place at the end of August. The USA will be represented by two clubs: NYC Team Handball and LA Team Handball. The third participant will be Team Quebec from Canada.
