On the occasion of the Golden League, a four-nations tournament founded by France, Norway and Denmark in 2012, France Handball 2017 seized the opportunity to celebrate “One year to go” until the 2017 Men’s World Championship.

On 6 January, President of the French Handball Federation Joël Delplanque presented the World Championship Trophy, with which the public could take pictures. Furthermore, the official video of the championship was revealed.

The next step was the presentation of the mascots which was done in two parts. On 8 January, the two mascots Rok and Koolette were presented on the social media – little by little the public could discover the mascots on Facebook (Koolette) and Twitter (Rok). Afterwards, on 9 January the public had to chance to meet them in real life.

9 January was also the day the ticket sales for the general public were launched. Until September 2016, handball fans have the opportunity to by ticket packages – either for one venue or to follow their team. As of September 2016, single tickets will be available.

There is no doubt: France is ready for “phenomenal handball” in 2017.
