Draw for Women’s Junior WCh in Korea – European qualification this weekend

The XVII Women’s Juniors World Championship will take place in Korea from 17 to 31 July. The last nine free places for the WCh will be decided in Europe next weekend (21.-23.5). 15 teams already qualified for the tournament. The draw for the Preliminary Round groups will be in Seoul, Korea, on 24 May (10:30 local time), conducted by Leon Kalin, President of the IHF Commission for Organizing and Competitions.

Those nations already have qualified for the XVII. Women’s Juniors World Championship:
Organizer: Korea
Europe: Norway, Hungary
Africa: Angola, Tunisia, Democratic Republic of Congo
Asia: Japan, China, Thailand, Hongkong
Pan America: Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Uruguay
Oceania: Australia

Those 24 nations will play the qualification in Europe next weekend:
Tournament 1 in Austria: Austria, Russia, Sweden, Bulgaria
Tournament 2 in the Netherlands: Netherlands, Germany, Israel, Portugal
Tournament 3 in Romania: Romania, France, Croatia, Iceland
Tournament 4 in Serbia: Serbia, Poland, Ukraine, Czech Republic
Tournament 5 in Spain: Spain, Slovenia, Switzerland, Turkey
Tournament 6 in Slovakia: Slovakia, Montenegro, Finland, Belarus

The two best teams of tournaments 1 to 3 and the winners of tournaments 4 to 6 will qualify for Korea.
