The 2015 Ordinary & Extraordinary Congress of the International Handball Federation will begin on Friday November 6, and run through to Sunday 8 November in Sochi, Russia. 160 member federations from five continents will be in attendance at the Congress, which will be held at the Radisson Blu Resort & Congress Centre Sochi. 

The 9th Executive Committee meeting will precede the Congress, taking place on Thursday before the full programme begins on Friday. 

The purpose of the Congress is to inform, motion and discuss a variety of topics including:
Competitions: The 2017 IHF Men's World Championship, qualification for the 2016 Olympic Games, the IHF 4-Nations Tournament, and the 1st IHF Emerging Nations Tournament
Awarding of events not subject to a decision by the Council, including the 2018 IHF Women’s Youth (U18) World Championship, the 2018 IHF Women’s Junior (U20) World Championship, the 2019 IHF Men’s Youth (U19) World Championship, and the 2019 IHF Men’s Junior (U21) World Championship
Playing rules and referees
National and continental federations, including motions and memberships
Executive committee and Council meeting minutes for events held during 2015
Finances including IHF budget and membership fees
The IHF New Markets Project in China and Great Britain
The President’s report
