In the first encounter on the second matchday of the IHF 4-Nations Tournament in Almaty, Kazakhstan, Australia faced the national women’s team of Congo, which clearly controlled the match from the beginning until the end and reached a well-deserved victory at 12:32 (6:13). Best scorers of the match were Madeleine McAfee from Australia with 5 goals and Chantal Okomba from Congo with 7 goals.
 
The second match of the day brought the encounter of the two victorious teams of the day before with Mexico facing host Kazakhstan, which managed to remain unbeaten also on the second matchday. The Pan-American representative could not keep up with the host team, which kept their lead throughout the match to finish at 20:26 (9:12). Best scorers of the match were Nashely Jaramillo Castañon for Mexico with 5 goals and Irina Alexandrova for Kazakhstan with 6 goals.
 
Tomorrow the last two matches will be played at the IHF 4-Nations Tournament with Mexico facing Congo and host Kazakhstan encountering Australia. Should host Kazakhstan continue their winning streak also tomorrow, they will directly book  their ticket for the 2015 Women’s World Championship in Denmark.
