Sweden is Women's Youth World Champion. After Denmark in 2006 and Russia in 2008, the Scandinavians have now become new champions. In the Scandinavian final match against Norway, the Swedish team clearly prevailed and won 34:29.

The Dominicans, in contrary, were celebrating their biggest success ever in the history of their young federation. The decision in this match, which was quite narrow for long periods, came between the 43rd and 47th minute, when the Russians extended their lead from 17:15 to 21:15.

Argentina - DR Congo 29:20 (14:10) Thanks to their first success at this World Championship, the selection of Argentina won the 17th place of the tournament. The South Americans defeated the selection from the Congo 29:20, but took almost one half to gain control of their opponent. Until the 29th minute, DR Congo had been able to achieve an almost even result (10:11), but until the 36th minute, the team conceded eight goals in a row (10:19).
