Australia qualified for the 2011 Men’s World Championship in Sweden

Exactly half of the participants for the 2011 Men’s World Championship in Sweden are known now: Number 12 of 24 is Australia. The “Aussies” won the Oceanian World Championship qualification tournament in New Zeeland with each two victories against the host and the Cook Islands. Top scorer of the tournament was the Australian James Blondell with 22 goals in four matches, followed by his team mate Tommy Fletcher and Tim Nuthall (New Zealand, each 17).
So still 12 places for the WCh in Sweden are open – and all decisions will be taken in June, when not only the Pan American qualification tournament will decide about three WCh starters, but also nine k.o. matches in Europe will bring the last WCh participants.
Those teams are already qualified:
Sweden (host)
France (reigning champion)
Europe: Iceland, Poland, Croatia
Africa: Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria
Asia: Korea, Bahrain, Japan
Oceania: Australia
