Dear Handball Friends, The Hellenic Handball Federation will be the host of the 18th Men’s Junior World Championship this summer. It will be the second World Championship in Greece after the Men’s Junior World Championship in 1991. Now a new generation of Greek and international handball youngsters will meet in Greece and compete for the Junior World Championship title. 24 teams from all over the world go for Gold, Silver and Bronze – but it is not only the fight for medals, but a starting point for the development of all players changing to the senior teams. However it is also an important objective for the hosting nation: Organizing a World Championship will bring our sport into the focus of fans, sponsors and media. I’m convinced that the host will succeed in organizing a sporting event which is not only perfectly arranged, but also impressive and fair. I wish all participating teams the very best of luck for the tournament and a good time.
