Dear Handball Friends, Today beach handball is an integral part of the International Handball Federation. The 5th Women’s & Men’s Beach Handball WCh will be staged at Al Musannah Sports City in Oman, that was also the venue of the 2010 Asian Beach Games. Beach handball is a pure story of success, as the previous 4 WChs in Egypt, Brazil, Spain & Turkey have proved. 24 teams –twelve women’s and men’s sides each-including all world-class teams like the reigning champions from Brazil (men) and Norway (women) will compete in the WCh. The organiser did a great job in preparing that major event so that the world of beach handball is ready for Oman as is Oman for the world of beach handball. On this occasion I would like to invite the Omani spectators to watch the matches and I hope handball will continue flourishing in Oman even after this championship.
